An all-star group of Atlanta’s best known chamber musicians will converge at 2 p.m. Sunday for a virtual and live performance Thanksgiving concert at First Presbyterian Church. The program includes works by Bach, Schumann, Mozart, Mendelssohn and an excerpt from Puccini’s La Boheme. The musicians are members of the Georgian Chamber Players, Atlanta Chamber Players, Emory Chamber Music Society of Atlanta and the church’s music department. Live seating will be limited to 100 socially distanced people who must wear masks. For tickets or to view online, go HERE.
The filmed performance of Long Ago and Only Once by Terminus Modern Ballet Theatre is available to view online through November 21. The piece, choreographed by Ana Maria Lucaciu with input from the dancers, was filmed last month at Kennesaw State University’s Dance Theatre. The hourlong work, which comes together around the concept of waiting for things to be completed, was filmed and scored by T.M. Rives. Tickets start at $15 for students and $35 for general admission.
In times like these, when we are separated by necessity, ArtsATL is needed more than ever. Please consider a donation so we can continue to highlight Atlanta’s creative community.
