Paper Routes — GA: Women to Watch at MOCA GA is an exhibition program that features emerging and underrepresented women artists and is held every two or three years. The pieces on view — by Jerushia Graham, Sanaz Haghani, Imi Hwangbo, Lucha Rodriguez and Whitney Stansell — focus on paper that becomes complex works of art. Through March 7.
In Looming Chaos, her solo exhibition at the Zuckerman Museum of Art, Atlanta fiber artist Zipporah Camille Thompson uses weaving to conceptualize chaos as the tensions associated with personal and universal experiences of disaster and catastrophe. “For me,” Thompson says, “being an artist is being a maker, being a creator, being a conjuror.” Through May 10 at the Kennesaw State University space.
