Mermaid Motor Lounge plays Buteco on March 28

Josh Erwin (guitar/lead vocals), Troy Harris (bass), Jenna Mobley (fiddle/harmony vocals) and Matt Pendrick (guitar/harmony vocals) fuse reverb rock and comforting country sounds to create Mermaid Motor Lounge. The group drifts into Buteco on March 28.

Long reverbs, sustains and spacey effects are musical characters that weave among Erwin’s lyrics and melodies. The songs find a home where extended notes ripple through space and time supported by Telecaster guitar twang, fiddle swells and bowed bass, all driven by a rock rhythm section. 

The group’s self-produced debut record Fits and Starts (2018) was recorded at Standard Electric Recorders Co. with cofounder Damon Moon.
