In the summer of 2009, a group of the city’s arts journalists and critics banded together to ensure that their work would continue and formed the organization that would become ARTS ATL. Like any newborn, it grew and evolved and changed and stumbled and learned. It became a nonprofit, and expanded its mission to touch on all types of art within this city.
In the past year, we have relaunched our site, launched a comprehensive arts calendar, held our most successful Luminary Awards event yet and connected with tens of thousands of new readers online and through social media. And now, we look around, and we realize, it’s 2019. We’re about to turn 10.
All year long, we’ll celebrate this milestone by looking back at how far we’ve come. But we are even more dedicated to looking forward, to the next decade and beyond. There are so many great new things in store, but we need you, our family, to help us realize this work. We need you to read the site, and we need your support.
We are committed to raising $100,000 by the end of the year to celebrate our birthday, and to give us the foundation to build the future. We’re asking our readers to chip in $10, either as a one-time or monthly gift, to help get us there. You can contribute right here.
