The Fulton County Board of Commissioners has approved a $1.5 million Virtual Arts Initiative for artists and nonprofit arts organizations to create digital content during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Grants are open to nonprofit arts organizations and professional artists working in Fulton County. Applications are due by June 16. The initiative is designed to provide financial support to “sustain the cultural infrastructure of the local economy” during the pandemic.
“Fulton County’s creative community is vibrant, resilient and a cornerstone of our local economy,” Lionell Thomas, director of Fulton County Arts and Culture, said in a press release. “The department is extremely thankful to the Board of Commissioners and county leadership for recognizing the importance of the arts and its profound impact on the well-being of our community.”
Eligibility guidelines for artists and arts organizations are HERE. Staff members are available to offer assistance during the application process.
In times like these, when we are separated by necessity, ArtsATL is needed more than ever. Please consider a donation so we can continue to highlight Atlanta’s creative community.
