The World Cup is coming to Atlanta in 2026, and FIFA, the international governing body of the sport we call soccer, has revealed our official host city poster.
For the first time, next year’s World Cup will be held across three countries — Canada, Mexico and the United States — where 16 cities will play host to the matches. This spring, FIFA is gradually unveiling the official poster for each city from now until mid-April, and now it’s Atlanta’s turn.
It should come as no surprise that the focal point of the image is a peach, in addition to an abundance of dogwood blossoms. It depicts Atlanta’s iconic skyline along with landmarks such as the Georgia State Capitol, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Krog Street Tunnel, the Martin Luther King Jr. Birth Home and Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

Designed by Atlanta artist Jose Hadathy, the poster is one of 16 to be unveiled over the next month.
Hadathy is an illustrator and graphic designer based in Atlanta. He was born in Quito, Ecuador, and moved to the area at the age of 9. He graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta with a bachelor of fine arts in painting and currently serves as creative design manager at Atlanta United.
“I am honored to have been chosen to create a piece that captures my two passions — soccer and the city of Atlanta,” said Hadathy. “This poster was inspired by our city’s rich culture, history and profound connection to soccer. The FIFA World Cup will shine a global spotlight on Atlanta and the state of Georgia, and I wanted to create something that captures the energy and excitement of the world’s greatest sporting event while authentically connecting with locals and inspiring visitors to explore our wonderful city and state.”
The Atlanta poster is the third one to be revealed, following Philadelphia and Los Angeles. Check out those posters (and see what’s to come) on FIFA’s website. If you’d like to get one for yourself, all of the posters go on sale on April 19.
