The Alliance Theatre’s annual Collision Project invites metro teens to “collide” with a classic text and create a new play of their own. This year, the project’s 19th, 19 teenagers have been engaging with the young adult novel White Rose by Kip Wilson. It tells the true story of a student-led resistance group that challenged the Nazis during World War II. The free public performance streams at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. RSVP HERE. You’ll receive an email Friday with a link and login information to access the livestream.
The Atlanta Jewish Film Festival will host a virtual screening and conversation with award-winning actor Stav Strashko (Flawless) at noon Sunday. Strashko became the first transgender woman nominated for Israel’s top acting prize for her work in Flawless, a coming-of-age dramedy that follows three teenage girls determined to remake themselves before their high school prom. The film is in Hebrew, Russian and English. See it online through a special offer for AJFF subscribers. The Strashko conversation will follow. Details HERE.
