The venerable Eddie’s Attic has reopened and presents a concert in the round by Michelle Malone, Dede Vogt and Kevin Lawson at 8 p.m. July 12. Tickets are $25–$100. Malone is one of the city’s most acclaimed singer/songwriters, and Vogt is one of the founders of Decatur’s folk music scene. Lawson is a singer/songwriter who was born in Atlanta, but now lives in Florida. The club will use social distancing, so tickets are limited.
The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s Virtual Stage, in conjunction with Georgia Public Broadcasting, will feature an encore performance of the March 11 concert that marked the return of former music director Yoel Levi with guest violinist Pinchas Zuckerman. The performance is free. It begins at 6:30 p.m. Sunday (July 5) on GPB television and is streaming live on its website. It will include an exclusive interview with Levi and Mahler’s Symphony No. 1 and Burch’s Violin Concerto No. 1.
In times like these, when we are separated by necessity, ArtsATL is needed more than ever. Please consider a donation so we can continue to highlight Atlanta’s creative community.
