Your Source For The Arts In Atlanta

The cinematic world premiere of Marley Was Dead, To Begin With by Terminus Modern Ballet Theatre, is available for pay-per-view streaming through January 22. The production is more than a filmed version of a stage show; it embraces the possibilities of cinema and features voiceovers by Atlanta actors Tess Malis Kincaid and Chris Kayser. Kayser played Ebenezer Scrooge in the Alliance Theatre’s A Christmas Carol for 17 years. $35. $15 students; $50 for a VIP pass that includes a link to an artist Q&A.

While the pandemic shut down major opera houses worldwide, The Atlanta Opera boldly bought a circus tent and staged a “Big Tent Series” outdoors on the Oglethorpe University baseball diamond. Pagliacci and The Kaiser of Atlantis, performed in front of small, socially distanced audiences, were remarkable to see in person. Both shows were filmed and are now available for pay-per-view streaming. One-time viewing is $20; a monthly pass is $15.
