The Atlanta Gay Men's Chorus

Music: Gay chorus holiday; chamber music

The Atlanta Gay Men’s Chorus will perform its annual holiday show virtually Friday-Sunday from the Cathedral of St. Philip. It marks the 25th anniversary of the chorus’ holiday show from that venue. Expect classic holiday tunes plus such humorous favorites as “Super Gay Christmas” and “Recycle the Fruitcake.” “We’re thinking outside the box to create something that is innovative and powerful while holding on to what makes our holiday concerts so special,” says artistic director Donald Milton III. The concert will be livestreamed at 8 p.m. December 4–5 and 3 p.m. December 6. Tickets are $25 HERE. (Photo by Dan Lax)

The Emory Chamber Music Society of Atlanta’s final Cooke Noontime Series Concert of the year will be livestreamed at noon Friday (December 4) from Emerson Hall in the Schwartz Center for Performing Arts. The concert will conclude the society’s yearlong “Beethoven 2020” project celebrating the 250th anniversary of the composer’s birth. Violinist David Coucheron will play the last Violin Sonata, Op. 96, with pianist William Ransom. The Vega String Quartet will perform the Trio in C Minor, Op. 9. The concert is free and will be available HERE to watch live and after the performance.
