Manufactured out of all the glitz, glamour and pomp of ’80s pop music, Superbody’s colorful rhythms and dynamic voice ride along the neon edges of electro-pop and disco. The show is December 14 at 529 with supporting local acts Michael Myerz, Nelward and Delorean Gray.
With 2017’s YOUTH MUSIC, the Chattanooga-born Atlanta transplant made waves in the local scene. Synth-infused lo-fi tunes like “Patricia,” “Falling 4 U” and, more recently, “Hollywood,” cemented Superbody’s songwriting skills, which rely on the escapism and indulgent extravagance of ‘80s nostalgia.
Filling out the bill are Michael Myerz and Nelward. No strangers to the local scene, both acts curate experimental rap and surrealist pop tunes. Rounding out the lineup is Delorean Gray, who focuses on new-wave space pop.
