“Selfie,” exhibit of self-portraits, and other calendar highlights, June 11–21

Selfie: A Contemporary Look at the Self Portrait opens on Thursday at the Chastain Arts Center. Curator Karen Comer Lowe has assembled such Atlanta artists as Meg Aubrey, Philip Carpenter, Tina Dunkley, Matt Haffner, Cecelia Kane, Suellen Parker and Mario Petrirena to display the wide variety of approaches to this genre, both time-honored and of the now.
