Your Source For The Arts In Atlanta

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO JUNE 13 . . .  The Creatives Project invites you to take part in Drive Thru ATL, a free, pop-up event this Saturday (June 6). Organizers call it the city’s first drive-though gallery experience. The one-day event will take place at Atlanta Art District, known as AAD, in the large parking lot at 1374 Moreland Ave. N.E. It will feature work to see and buy by more than 25 artists, including Eugene Byrd, Peter Ferrari, Jerushia Graham, Shanequa Gay, Crystal Jin Kim and Brandon Sadler. You must register to attend. Viewing times will be staggered with arrival times on the hour between 2 and 6 p.m. Visitors will tune in to drive-through FM radio. Details, RSVP HERE.

A new season of SCANDAL!, Dad’s Garage Theatre Company’s annual improvised soap opera, premieres at 8 p.m. Friday (June 5) on the company’s channel. The new version, titled SCANDAL: League of Supervillains WFH, is about taking over the world one Zoom meeting at a time. It will be performed live and from the homes of the company’s cast of improvisers — including Kevin Gillese, Megan Leahy and Lucky Yates. The story will continue each Friday at 8 p.m. Free.

In times like these when we are separated by necessity, ArtsATL is needed more than ever. Please consider a donation so we can continue to highlight Atlanta’s creative community in this unprecedented time.
