Art + Design: Mayor’s Gallery, Marcia Wood
Views From My Kaleidoscope: Volume II opens Friday (February 21) at the Mayor’s Gallery at City Hall. The exhibition is a sequel to the compilation of quotes, mantras and beliefs that fuel Melissa A. Mitchell’s art, which is largely abstract. The Mayor’s Gallery, on the second floor of downtown Atlanta’s City Hall, is open 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday–Friday.

The Magpie’s Dilemma, a solo show by Atlanta artist Scott Eakin, continues through March 21 at Marcia Wood Gallery. Eakin works with acrylic paint on wood panel, using a meticulous process to create graphic, geometric paintings. Look closely, and you’ll see miniature landscapes hidden within his lines.
