The Apiary by Kate Douglas

Directed by Sally J. Robertson, The Apiary by Kate Douglas is a darkly funny and deeply unsettling new play set in a near future where the survival of the bee population may come at an unimaginable human cost. Inside a secretive research facility, four women navigate impossible ethical choices, corporate desperation, and a horrifying discovery that blurs the line between human survival and monstrous transformation.

Blending sharp humor, psychological suspense, and speculative horror, The Apiary explores environmental collapse, sacrifice, and the terrifying logic of “the greater good” with the intensity of a nightmare and the wit of a razor-sharp satire.

“Save the bees by any means necessary.”
