Poetry Writing Workshop

Have you always wanted to write poetry but aren’t sure where to begin? Come write one with us!

In this two-hour generative poetry workshop, we’ll explore different forms and approaches to writing poems, from free verse to more structured forms. We’ll talk about where poems begin, how to find an idea worth following, and how craft choices like imagery, sound, line breaks, and form can shape a poem.

Through guided exercises and time to write, you’ll experiment with different ways into poetry and leave with at least one finished poem of your own. This is also a great chance to find community with other writers!
