Pixels at Play: An Exhibition by Billy Clifton-Strawn
June 8 @ 10:00 am - September 8 @ 6:00 pm
FreeAtlanta Central Library presents Pixels at Play by Billy Clifton-Strawn.
A sweeping multimedia exhibition.
The exhibition spans monumental fabric prints, archival pigmented prints, and high-definition digital screen works, exploring play not as a childlike diversion but as a radical mode of artistic and philosophical investigation. Highlights include large-scale panoramic fabric prints nearly 15 feet wide, the politically charged Still Here series responding to the erosion of queer civil rights in America, and The Pride We Carry, a deeply personal six-monitor installation tracing one family’s journey toward recognition.
The library is open from 10:00 and to 8:00 pm Mondays and Tuesdays and 10:00 am to 6:00 pm Wednesday though Saturday. Closed on Sunday.
Join the Library’s Artist In Residence for a free public Artist Panel Discussion on Saturday, July 11, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, followed by a Reception from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and Q&A with Billy Clifton-Strawn and the moderator from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
