Leipzig Churches and Coffeehouses: A Festive Collaboration

Join the ABO, the Cathedral of St. Philip Schola, and conductor Dale Adelmann on October 23 & 24 for a celebration of J.S. Bach’s illustrious musical life in Leipzig, Germany.

With trumpets, timpani, winds, strings, and the Cathedral Schola, this glorious program features Bach’s famous Cantata 80, first performed in Leipzig’s St. Nicholas Church in 1731. The program also features Bach’s Orchestral Suite No. 1 in C Major, composed for performances at Zimmermann’s famous coffeehouse, and selections from Cantata 29, featuring a dazzling organ Sinfonia performed by Cathedral organist Chase Loomer.
