This year, established actress, director, and filmmaker Valeka Jessica headlines the festival with the world premiere of her solo production, “I’m a Mother F*ing Superstar.” Fresh from a workshop residency at the Barbican Centre in London, the Suzi Bass Award-nominated actress (Power Book IV: Force) delivers a raw, unapologetic blend of theatrical storytelling and comedy. The show chronicles Jessica’s personal journey through divorce, IVF abandonment, and professional reinvention, featuring her viral, no-filter alter ego, Keysha. Directed by Rhavynn Drummer and produced by Vallea Woodbury, this production is a highlight of the Launchpad 2.0 festival—a showcase of Atlanta-born stories destined for the global stage.
