Atlanta Gets a New Kind of Holiday Adventure With JOIE at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center!
Beginning December 5, 2026, through January 3, 2027, Mirth & Mischief Productions presents JOIE, a monthlong, site-specific holiday experience at Atlanta’s historic Callanwolde Fine Arts Center.
JOIE unfolds across three distinct sections:
JOIE Mainstage Show: Hosted in Callanwolde’s grand indoor courtyard, featuring five acts of live entertainment—including Broadway-caliber vocalists, Cirque-inspired acrobatics, live music, and seasonal storytelling.
Interactive Mansion Exploration: Walk through the historic estate’s lower levels filled with live music, puppetry, interactive characters, and theatrical surprises. Winter Wonderland Light Forest: Explore the grounds featuring illuminated installations, fire performances, 3D video mapping, a Snow Play Park, ornament-making workshops, photo opps, character meet-and-greets, and a caroling bonfire!
Special Highlights:
Featured Guest: Professor Asa Fizzwik, portrayed by Steve Whitmire (longtime performer known for bringing Kermit the Frog and Ernie to life alongside Jim Henson). Original Characters: Meet Ded Zed (a vegan holiday zombie) and the Fir Dogs, Barkley & Oakley, at the Fir Dog House photo experience.
MIP Experience: Enhanced tickets include full mansion access, priority seating, exclusive MIP Lounge access with complimentary food and beverage service, and themed hospitality.
Give-Back Initiative: 10% of all ticket sales benefit local arts education and Atlanta nonprofits through Mirth Makers.
