Intimate F[r]agments: A Smutty Open Mic for trans & queer folks

November 14 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

This is an in-person only event, which takes place at Charis Books and More. It is free to attend and no registration is required. Please read the in-person event guidelines at the bottom of this page to be sure you can participate in the event. This is an 18+ event.

We’re excited to welcome back L’or N.O.S. for a very special installment of Intimate F[r]agments in celebration of the release of issue 6 of their t4t lesbian smut zine Fuckin’ Transplants.

Intimate F[r]agments is an open mic that offers trans and queer people the space to share their rawest, grittiest, sexiest, and silliest poetic and prose pieces on the themes of love, lust, heartbreak, transness, and/or SMUT!

Supporting the show we will have featured readings from Billie Sainwood and June of Write Club Atlanta.

Potential readers! Have you ever:

-sent or received texts that made you swoon?

-explored a new poetic form inspired by a crush or lover?

-kept a log of all of your sexual experiences?

-been broken to bits and then built back up by love?

-fucked somewhere fun you’d like to tell us about?

-fantasized about possible and impossible sexual gratification?

-had feelings about your trans body, in relation to others or on your own?

We want to hear all about it! We will have a sign-up sheet with 3-5 minute slots for readers and performers available at the front at 7:00pm.

Host

L’or (they, él) is a Brooklyn born and raised queer, mixed, trans writer with strong opinions. For the last year and a half they have hosted the open mic Intimate F[r]agments that uplifts trans writers monthly in Brooklyn and taken it to cities around the world. L’or self publishes two zines on trans sexuality, mental health, and belonging. dm them on ig @IntimateFragments or send an email to ditmasparkslope@proton.me to join their upcoming (email! infrequent!) newsletter.
