Carpool’s Drive-In Film Festival

Carpool’s Drive-In Film Festival returns July 30–August 2 at Atlanta Metropolitan State College for four days celebrating independent film, emerging storytellers, and the creative journey.
Founded by filmmakers Qiana Camille and DeShon Green, Carpool was created to celebrate the resilience of artists navigating the road to their dreams. The festival features independent film screenings, filmmaker Q&As, educational panels, networking events, a live actors showcase, the Carpool Cookout, and an awards celebration honoring outstanding independent filmmakers.
This year’s featured guests include:
Johnell Young – Actor best known for portraying GZA in Hulu’s Wu-Tang: An American Saga.
Chris Young – Talent agent and music executive with experience developing Grammy Award-winning artists and connecting creative talent with industry opportunities.
Leslie M. Greene – Veteran casting director with more than 30 years of experience discovering and casting talent for film and television.
Sean Freeman – Emmy Award-nominated actor currently starring in CBS’s Beyond the Gates.
Dennis Dortch – Sundance-premiering filmmaker and co-founder of BLACK & SEXY TV, an influential streaming platform dedicated to Black creators and audiences.
Charmin Lee – Actress, director, producer, acting coach, and CEO of Total Package Entertainment, with more than 30 years of industry experience and credits including Girlfriends, The Chi, Just Mercy, and Uglies.
Nina Stakz – Award-winning filmmaker, writer, director, cinematographer, and editor whose independent films and series have reached audiences on Tubi, Amazon Prime, and Peacock.
Jennifer Pessima – Director, producer, writer, and founder of Jennifer Pessima Productions, whose purpose-driven work includes The Despaired (BET+) and This Is Thirties (Tubi).
Amber Reign – Actress, entrepreneur, and founder of Kicky Mats ATL, sharing her perspective on balancing a successful acting career with entrepreneurship.
