“It’s so hard to find a new way to make a romantic comedy, but [they have] done it.” — Rob Reiner, Director of When Harry Met Sally & The Princess Bride

“Love and Taxes reminds me of early Woody Allen films.” — Jerry Farber, Atlanta Comedy Legend

After a dominant run on the international festival circuit, the award-winning feature film “Love and Taxe$” is returning to its roots for a prestigious homecoming screening. The film will headline the Georgia Comedy Film Festival on Wednesday, March 4, at 6:00 PM at the historic Plaza Theatre.

“Love and Taxe$” arrives in Atlanta having already secured seven “Best Comedy Feature” titles, along with top honors for Acting, Writing, and Directing. The film has played to standing-room-only crowds across the country, tapping into a “Romantic Comedy Renaissance” that industry experts are comparing to the recent theatrical phenomenon of Solo Mio.

Set against the backdrop of the early 1970s, the film follows a high-stakes, witty, and heartfelt journey that proves love is the only thing the IRS can’t audit. Critics have called it “lightning in a bottle,” praising its sophisticated humor and the undeniable chemistry of its lead cast.

“It is one thing to win awards on the festival circuit, but it is another thing entirely to bring this movie home,” says Ken Feinberg, Director and Atlanta native. “This screening is for the people of Atlanta who supported this vision from the beginning. We wanted to make a film that reminds people why we go to the movies—to laugh, to feel, and to fall in love.”

The Atlanta premiere comes at a pivotal time for the genre. As theatrical audiences flock back to romantic comedies, “Love and Taxe$” stands out as a smart, character-driven winner that captures the nostalgia of the 90s with a modern, award-winning execution.
