🎃 13 Things You Can’t Miss at the Little 5 Points Halloween Festival & Parade®
Little 5 Points is going all in for Halloween. Two days of monsters, music, art, performances, ghosts, creatures and more — all leading up to Atlanta’s wildest Halloween tradition.
1. THE L5P HALLOWEEN PARADE – Sunday at 1 PM, the streets of Little 5 Points fill with floats, performers, creatures, costumes and community groups for the legendary L5P Halloween Parade. This year’s theme, *Cryptids, Creatures and Community Legends*, brings together L5P monsters and some very real local legends.
2. L5P LEGACY BUSINESSES IN THE PARADE – Some of the businesses that helped make Little 5 Points what it is will be celebrated in this year’s parade. Watch for L5P legacy businesses and the people behind them as we recognize decades of independent business history in the neighborhood.
3. SEE THE FLOATS UP CLOSE – The parade doesn’t have to end when the last float rolls by. Several floats will head to the Little 5 Points Community Center after the parade, where you can get a closer look at them.
4. THE L5P HALLOWEEN PHOTO GALLERY – Little 5 Points held a Halloween Photo Contest, and the winning photographs are being enlarged and installed on storefront windows throughout the district — turning L5P itself into an outdoor Halloween photo gallery. Walk the neighborhood and discover them all.
5. QUEENS OF THE CRYPT – Part ghost story, part performance and very Little 5 Points. *Queens of the Crypt* is a ghost story led by drag queens through the streets of L5P.
6. CRITTERS FROM THE CRYPT — PET COSTUME CONTEST – The creatures aren’t all human. Dress up your four-legged monster and enter *Critters from the Crypt*, L5P’s Pet Costume Contest. Expect costumes, creatures and some serious competition for Halloween bragging rights.
7. ATLANTA CIRCUS ALLIANCE – Saturday night at 7 PM, the Atlanta Circus Alliance takes over with a special Halloween performance. Expect circus, spectacle and plenty of surprises.
8. THE MONSTER STICKER HUNT – Monsters are hiding throughout Little 5 Points. Grab your clues and hunt through the neighborhood for monster stickers created with the *Little Art School*.
9. THE BAT CAVE RAVE – Find your way to the Bat Cave Rave for music, dancing and a decidedly L5P version of Halloween nightlife. On Saturday from 5-10pm at L5P Community Center
10. GHOST TOURS – Little 5 Points has plenty of stories — including some involving people who may have never left. Explore the neighborhood’s darker history on one of
our Halloween Ghost Tours, including boozy options for the grown-up ghost hunters.
11. L5P LABORATORY OF HORROR – Something strange is happening inside the old elementary school. Enter the *L5P Research Facility*, an immersive Halloween experience at the Little 5 Points Community Center. What exactly are they researching? You may wish you hadn’t asked.
12. MONSTERS, CREATURES & PERFORMERS EVERYWHERE – You don’t have to be standing at a stage to find something happening. Expect roaming creatures, circus performers, stilt walkers and other strange sightings throughout the weekend.
13. TWO FULL DAYS OF HALLOWEEN IN LITTLE 5 POINTS – This isn’t just a parade. Spend the weekend exploring L5P, shopping independent businesses, eating and drinking around the neighborhood, finding the photo installations and monsters, catching performances and seeing what turns up next.
