Through March 23
Launchpad: A Made in Atlanta Festival. Theatrical Outfit’s series evolved from the theater’s previous Made in Atlanta series, which sought to spotlight local Atlanta playwrights. The fest includes works by Steve Yockey, Phong Le and Bridget McCarthy and by Stephen Ruffin and Filipe Valle Costa.

Through March 29
Hot Jambalaya. This world premiere from Dad’s Garage is a Cajun-flavored treat, a wacky comedy musical with a legitimately compelling, twisted murder mystery at its core.
Through March 30
The African Company Presents Richard III. Based on a true story, Carlyle Brown’s play recounts the story of the pre-abolition production of Shakespeare’s Richard III by William Henry Brown, a free Black American, and his company, African Grove Theatre. At Shakespeare Tavern.

Ragtime. City Springs Theatre Company stages the Tony Award-winning musical based on the novel by E.L. Doctorow, which explores the lives of a diverse trio of Americans in the early 20th century.
March 14-23
Émilie: La Marquise du Châtelet défend sa vie ce soir. Atlanta native Lauren Gunderson’s tale of 18th century scientific genius Emilie du Châtelet gets its first French language production by Théâtre du Rêve at 7 Stages. Performances are in French, with English supertitles.
March 14-April 5
I Carry Your Heart With Me. A Vietnam War-era stenographer captures the stories of soldiers returning from the front lines in this one-woman show starring Carolyn Cook at Horizon Theatre.
March 20-April 19
Topdog/Underdog. Actor’s Express presents playwright Suzan-Lori Parks’ Pulitzer-winning play about two African American brothers, ironically named Lincoln and Booth, who are fated to remain in perpetual competition, even as they try to overcome poverty through humiliating jobs and card games.

April 4-6
Love Letters. Actors and restaurateurs Jennifer Levison (aka Souper Jenny) and Mitchell Anderson (of Metro Fresh and Party of Five fame) star in A.R. Gurney’s enduring epistolary story of a complex 50-year friendship.
April 5-27
Twelfth Night. A shipwreck, separated twins and mistaken identities are at the heart of one of Shakespeare’s most beloved (and most frequently produced) comedies. Shakespeare Tavern.
May 1-17
Trick! The Musical. Out Front Theatre stages the world premiere of Trick! The Musical, based on a 1999 queer romcom about an attempted one-night stand that encounters numerous obstacles. The book was written by original screenwriter Jason Schafer.
May 9-June 15
Millions. Inspired by Frank Cottrell-Boyce’s novel and film (directed by Danny Boyle), this new musical by Bob Martin and Adam Guettel tells the story of a newly widowed father, his two sons and a duffel bag of cash that falls out of the sky.
May 22-June 15
Waitress the Musical. Jenna, a waitress and pie maker, is stuck in a rocky marriage when a pie-baking contest in a nearby county offers a way out. Aurora Theatre presents the musical based on the film by the late Adrienne Shelly, with tunes by Grammy winner Sara Bareilles.
