This Saturday (February 15) is your last chance to take in the Benjamin Jones retrospective Speaking at MOCA GA. The museum opens at 11 a.m. and will hold a 2–5 p.m. catalog signing. Speaking surveys 40 years worth of work by Jones, a onetime Atlantan who now lives and works on Tybee Island. The retrospective features large- and small-scale drawings, collages, embellished journals and sculpture. Deanna Sirlin, an artist herself, wrote our review.
Pop-Up Magazine — a live event, created for a stage, a screen and a live audience — brings its national tour to the Buckhead Theatre at 7:30 p.m. February 20. Contributors tell never-before-told, multimedia stories accompanied by an original score performed live. This piece, called the “Winter 2020 Issue,” will include stories about a soap opera’s significance in post-Soviet Russia, flying saucers and family obsessions, the criminalization of humanitarian aid at the U.S. border, learning to say what we mean and . . . some cabaret. $29 and subject to change. Tickets HERE.
