Each week, ArtsATL curates a selection of the most exciting arts and culture events happening in Atlanta this weekend, highlighting nine must-see experiences.

Thursday
Guest conductor David Danzmayr brings an eclectic mix for the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, with pianist Claire Huangci taking the solo spotlight for Shostakovich’s Piano Concerto No. 2. The program also includes Duke Ellington’s tribute to the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., The Three Black Kings, and Elgar’s beloved Enigma Variations. Performances are at 8 p.m. on January 22 and January 24.
This comedian and actor finished in second place on season 10 of America’s Got Talent and has amassed millions of followers on social media while touring the world nonstop to sold-out audiences. His latest special, The Stuttering Comedian, is out now. He’ll be at Helium Comedy Club in Alpharetta at 7:15 p.m. January 22; 7 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. January 23; and 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. January 24.
Friday
CBrooks Gallery presents this group art exhibition celebrating Black women visual artists, opening with a reception from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. January 23. The show will be on view through March 28.
The Atlanta Comedy Film Festival will include film screenings, table reads, industry panels and stand-up comedy. It’s happening at 7 Stages Theatre from January 23 through January 25
He’s best known as the star of his eponymous sitcom, which originally aired for six seasons on ABC from 2002 until 2007. Lopez will perform at City Winery at 6 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. January 23 and January 24.

Saturday
The Venezuelan pianist returns to Spivey Hall with Westward, a program featuring extraordinary immigrant composers and anchored by her improvised accompaniment to Charlie Chaplin’s 1917 film The Immigrant. She’ll perform at 3 p.m. January 24.
The festival gathers some of Atlanta’s premier new music ensembles to perform contemporary classical music. Four ensembles are making their SoudNOW debut: the Atlanta Contemporary Music Collective, Ayres & Graces, the Hera Trio and the Kruziki + Toulouse Duo. Returning groups include the Atlanta Contemporary Ensemble, Bent Frequency, the Chamber Cartel, neoPhonia New Music Ensemble and Smol ensemble. Performances take place at the Bradley Planetarium at Agnes Scott College, Core Dance Studio in Decatur and Georgia State University’s Kopleff Recital Hall.
Grammy-winning producer, trombonist, composer and NEA Jazz Master will perform with Kennesaw State University’s top jazz band, Jazz Band I, at 8 p.m. January 24 at KSU’s Morgan Concert Hall.
The British comedian and actor became the first comedian of Asian heritage to sell out Wembley Arena in 2017 and has released four stand-up comedy specials, including What’s Happening White People. He’ll bring his Artificial Indian tour to Buckhead Theatre at 7:30 p.m. January 24

Spalding Nix Fine Art’s A Fine Line brings together four shows by Kate Hooray Osmond, Nancy Talero, Shannon Davis and Laura Dargan. There are opening receptions from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. January 23 and noon until 4 p.m. January 24 … Atlanta’s beloved annual benefit cabaret Seasons of Love 2026 will spotlight two community partners in 2026: Saint Mark United Methodist Church and Drew Charter School’s Drew CARES initiative. This year’s show, running from January 23 to January 25, will celebrate the magic of musical theater with more than 50 Atlanta performers at the Drew Charter School Performing Arts Center … Journey through millennia of traditional Chinese culture in a spectacular two-hour performance by Shen Yun at 7:30 p.m. on January 27, January 28 and January 30 and 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on January 29 at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre … Relive the magic of extraordinary past performances recorded live from the stage of the Metropolitan Opera with the Met-premiere production of Mason Bates’ The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay at the Landmark Midtown ArtCinema at 1 p.m.on January 24. Looking ahead, catch an abridged, English-language version of Massenet’s enchanting fairy tale opera Cinderella on February 14.
