Your Source For The Arts In Atlanta

Flux Projects’ “Virtual Artists Series” features a “musical emotional sketch” by OkCello (Okorie Johnson), a stark video of Johnson performing in his living room. Johnson has recorded with De La Soul, India Arie and Big Boi, in addition to his own solo albums. He says this original piece, “Stir Crazy,” is intended to capture the trapped feelings of having to self-isolate. “There is so much difficulty to process information that we can largely do nothing about that adds to that trapped feeling,” he says in his artist statement.

The Kimono My House concert series celebrates its first month with a virtual party April 10–12 that features living-room concerts by a number of Atlanta musicians: Aileen Loy, The Yum Yum Tree, Heather Luttrell and the Possumden and the Shape Note Singers. More than 30 shows will air over the weekend and each viewer is asked to contribute $5 a day. Proceeds will benefit three of Atlanta’s most beloved music venues: 529, The EARL and Eddie’s Attic.
