The Emory Chamber Music Society of Atlanta will present its first Family Series concert of the season at 4 p.m. Sunday (October 18). The concert will be livestreamed from the Schwartz Center’s Emerson Concert Hall and will feature members of the Vega String Quartet and pianist William Ransom. They’ll perform Beethoven’s Spring and Moonlight sonatas. The free concert is designed for young listeners and families. It will be shown live HERE and archived so it can be viewed any time after the concert.
Joe Gransden and Karla Harris will perform a socially distanced outdoor concert at 7 p.m. Saturday (October 17) at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center. Gransden is one of Atlanta’s premier jazz artists; Harris is an artist-in-residence teaching vocal jazz at Kennesaw State University. The show is a benefit for Callanwolde in celebration of its 100th anniversary. Tickets range from $30 to $200 for a VIP dinner.
In times like these, when we are separated by necessity, ArtsATL is needed more than ever. Please consider a donation so we can continue to highlight Atlanta’s creative community.
