Your Source For The Arts In Atlanta

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will present “Joy to the World: A Holiday Brass Spectacular” from Symphony Hall at 8 p.m. December 17. The concert of holiday favorites will feature the brass ensemble, led by associate conductor Jerry Hou. It will be presented online and is free to subscribers and virtual members, who will have up to one month to watch. The concert is available on a pay-per-view basis for $20.

Atlanta Ballet is streaming a filmed version of The Nutcracker, the production it debuted in 2018. The on-demand viewing is $25 for three days of access. A Washington Post reviewer said the $3.7 million staging was the most entertaining and smartest she’d seen. ArtsATL’s Cynthia Perry called it “captivating and destined to become a staple among Atlanta holiday arts events.” (Photo by Kim Kenney)
