Your Source For The Arts In Atlanta

The Danish String Quartet, one of Europe’s most acclaimed chamber groups, performs at 8 p.m. Friday (February 19) as part of the Schwartz Center Virtual Stage series at Emory University. The concert will feature Mozart’s String Quartet No. 16 in E-flat Major, K. 428, and a selection of Nordic folk tunes. Free. Registration required.

Bill Gates will discuss his new book, How to Avoid a Climate Disaster, with NBC News’ Kristen Welker at 8 p.m. Wednesday (February 24). Gates, the Microsoft cofounder, uses his book to articulate a practical plan for reaching zero greenhouse gas emissions in time to avoid a climate catastrophe. The Zoom session is free, but guests are required to buy an advance copy of the book. The event is part of the Atlanta History Center’s “Author Talks” series and is copresented with the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta.
