The 2020 ArtsATL Luminary Awards will be held April 26 at The Tabernacle, and will honor Atlanta creative leaders in five categories.
“I am thrilled that we are partnering with The Tabernacle for the Luminary Awards this year,” ArtsATL Board Chair Rachel Eisaman said. “The building is not only historic, but provides ample space for the creativity of our performing artists to shine. And it goes without saying that the incredible production staff and resources that The Tabernacle offers will ensure this is an event to remember.”
The Luminary Awards, now in their fourth year, celebrate the social impact, diversity, innovation, leadership and generosity of Atlanta’s arts community.
ArtsATL is accepting nominations for the awards. The deadline for nominations is March 10, and they can be submitted through email to: firstname.lastname@example.org. You can include a brief paragraph that describes why your nominee is deserving of recognition.
The five awards are:
Arts Education — An arts educator or education program that creates real impact on students and communities.
Outstanding Leadership — An organization or individual whose lasting guidance has cultivated and maintained the arts community in Atlanta.
Philanthropic Legacy — Celebrating a lifetime of giving support to the arts in Atlanta.
Community Engagement — An organization or individual that has created social change through the arts.
Arts Innovation — The use of technology to reimagine the creation or distribution of art.
All nominees will be considered by the ArtsATL Artist Advisory Council, and the council will determine the recipients. Winners will be announced at the Luminary Awards ceremony. The achievements of the 2020 Luminary Award winners will be showcased at the ceremony, and profiles of the honorees will be published on ArtsATL after the event.
Sponsorships are also available from Presenting Sponsor to Gold, Silver, Bronze and Supporter levels. For information, contact Acting Executive Director Lynne Tanzer at: Lynne@artsatl.org.
