Your Source For The Arts In Atlanta

Through the combined efforts of students at Georgia Tech and the Portfolio Center and design professionals, the Museum of Design Atlanta’s “Love Nests: Photographs and Objects” celebrates a cross-section of Atlantans in imaginative portraits that combine interviews, photographs, text, graphic design, objects, video and sound.

The portrait of Baton Bob, who dresses in cheerleader drag and struts Atlanta’s streets, celebrates his high-stepping good cheer. The image at left is printed on multiple transparent banners. Looking through them, you’ll see an image akin to the multi-armed Hindu god Shiva, and a suggestion of the man in action. For more about this show, check out my AJC review.
