Georgia Production Day, which will bring the music industry community together with Georgia legislators, will be held March 14 at Liberty Plaza at noon. The event will feature performances by Georgia music artists, including Will Turpin of Collective Soul, Peter Stroud from Sheryl Crow’s band and local folk icon Caroline Aiken. Governor Brian Kemp will speak at 12:30 p.m.
The event is to celebrate the Georgia Music Investment Act, which was passed into law last year to provide incentives for the state’s music industry and to make the case for two new bills designed to augment the existing law. Those new bills failed to pass the House this year and will be on the agenda for 2020.
