Your Source For The Arts In Atlanta

Celebrating its 20th year as a band, and promoting the new You Hear Georgia album, Atlanta’s own Blackberry Smoke performed Saturday at the Ameris Bank Amphitheatre in Alpharetta. Lead singer Charlie Starr told ArtsATL in May that the band was aching to get back on the road after more than a year of being at home due to the pandemic.

Opening was The Allman Betts Band, which features three members whose fathers helped found the iconic Allman Brothers Band: Devon Allman (son of Gregg Allman), Duane Betts (son of Dickie Betts) and Berry Oakley Jr. (son of Berry Oakley).

Concert photographer Perry Julien captured the moment with these photos he took exclusively for ArtsATL.
