CANCELED: The Park: an expressionist fable

April 2 @ 7:00 pm - April 5 @ 7:00 pm

Free

Written by Caitlin J. Hargraves, the collaborative, devised work features an all-student cast. “’The Park: an expressionist fable’ is a piece that I’ve been thinking about for almost a decade, since I first read Frank Wedekind’s “Mine Haha, or On the Bodily Education of Young Girls,” says Hargraves, director and theater studies faculty member. “With the help of a brilliant cast of young women and designers I’ve adapted the story, with a dash of circus and Big Brother thrown in, and we’re left with a feminist take on a harrowing Victorian era fairy tale.” Performances are 7 p.m. April 2-3 and at 4 and 7 p.m. April 4-5.
