Dancers on a beach for the National Water Dance projects performance.

Dance + Music: Water Dance, more Kimono

The Kimono My House living-room concert series features streamed live shows every night. Coming up at 6 p.m. Friday is Mark Hodgdon, at 7 p.m. is Caleb Warren and at 9 p.m. is George Kohler-Wallace. The series, which streams on Facebook and focuses on Atlanta musicians, has an archive of all the shows you’ve missed or want to see again. Highly recommended is Aileen Loy’s charming “Bathtub Waits” series that features songs by Tom Waits.

Core Dance, Burning Bones Physical Theater and DanceATL will all participate in Saturday’s National Water Dance Projects performance that will be livestreamed at 4 p.m. The show will bring together dancers from locations across the country. Sue Schroeder, Core’s artistic director and cofounder, says the water dance is intended to bring awareness to the climate crisis.

In times like these, when we are separated by necessity, ArtsATL is needed more than ever. Please consider a donation so we can continue to highlight Atlanta’s creative community during this unprecedented time.
