A seemingly harmless bet between the old women quickly escalates into a dangerous game of one-upmanship that reveals not just the tenacity of these worthy opponents\, but also deeper truths that each would rather remain hidden. \n“Tastily sweet-and-sour\, Ripcord is great fun!” – Time Out New York

SUMMARY:Branches Etched Across the Sky
DESCRIPTION:In a season shaped by stories that branch across generations\, identities and lived experience\, Branches Etched Across the Sky offers a deeply moving exploration of family\, illness\, loss and the fragile beauty of human resilience. Written by acclaimed Atlanta playwright and artist Addae Moon and directed by Marlon Andrew Burnley\, this production marks only the second staging of the work worldwide. \nBlending emotional intimacy with theatrical imagination\, the play moves between reality and memory\, tracing the ways families hold one another through uncertainty and change. As characters navigate grief\, care and the unknowable spaces between them\, imagination becomes not an escape from hardship\, but a way of enduring it. \nRichly human and visually evocative\, Branches Etched Across the Sky reflects the spirit of KSU Theatre and Performance Studies’ milestone season: stories that stretch outward\, intertwine unexpectedly and reveal the unseen connections that shape our lives.

SUMMARY:The Velvet Note Signature Series: The Oz Noy Trio Starring Dave Weckl and Brian Charette
DESCRIPTION:SHOWTIMES: 6:30pm and 9:30pm. Brothers Noah and Josh Thompson put their guitars together to form Roman Street. Since the college years\, this brotherly jam session has developed into a Billboard/iTunes charting band who many have dubbed ‘the next generation’ of Jazz Fusion. Roman Street\, named for an old roman street in the Alps where they studied guitar\, is an internationally trained instrumental band specializing in improvisational fusion of Classical\, Gypsy and Contemporary Jazz\, Latin\, and Nuevo Flamenco. A departure from the over-produced music that is out there today\, they keep it simple—the beautifully organic sound of acoustic instruments played by talented people who love what they are doing. \nHappens on the following Dates:\nOct 22\, 2026\, 7:30pm to 9:00pm Timezone: Eastern Time (US & Canada)\nOct 22\, 2026\, 9:30pm to 11:00pm Timezone: Eastern Time (US & Canada)\nOct 23\, 2026\, 7:30pm to 9:00pm Timezone: Eastern Time (US & Canada)\nOct 23\, 2026\, 9:30pm to 11:00pm Timezone: Eastern Time (US & Canada)\nOct 24\, 2026\, 7:30pm to 9:00pm Timezone: Eastern Time (US & Canada)\nOct 24\, 2026\, 9:30pm to 11:00pm Timezone: Eastern Time (US & Canada)

SUMMARY:The Apiary by Kate Douglas
DESCRIPTION:Directed by Sally J. Robertson\, The Apiary by Kate Douglas is a darkly funny and deeply unsettling new play set in a near future where the survival of the bee population may come at an unimaginable human cost. Inside a secretive research facility\, four women navigate impossible ethical choices\, corporate desperation\, and a horrifying discovery that blurs the line between human survival and monstrous transformation. \nBlending sharp humor\, psychological suspense\, and speculative horror\, The Apiary explores environmental collapse\, sacrifice\, and the terrifying logic of “the greater good” with the intensity of a nightmare and the wit of a razor-sharp satire. \n“Save the bees by any means necessary.”

SUMMARY:The Clean House
DESCRIPTION:This funny\, imaginative\, and unexpectedly poignant play is about relationships\, purpose\, and what it truly means to care for one another. The story centers on Lane\, a successful doctor who hires a Brazilian housekeeper more interested in creating the perfect joke than actually cleaning. As the lives of Lane\, her family\, and her patients become increasingly intertwined\, the play unfolds into a tender exploration of love\, grief\, forgiveness\, and finding beauty in life’s imperfections. Equal parts quirky comedy and emotional reflection\, The Clean House is both delightfully unexpected and deeply human.
