This event is free but we encourage you to RSVP as space is limited — https://www.eventbrite.com/e/cant-stop-change-queer-climate-stories-from-the-florida-frontlines-tickets-1993871874450?aff=oddtdtcreator \nAbout the film \nCan’t Stop Change: Queer Climate Stories from the Florida Frontlines is an independent documentary from Queers 4 Climate Justice and co-directed by Vanessa Raditz\, Natalia Villarán-Quiñones\, Yarrow Koning\, Shoog McDaniel\, and Jess Martínez. Can’t Stop Change weaves interviews with 15 LGBTQ2S+ organizers\, artists\, and educators across Florida into an intersectional climate justice narrative. The film simultaneously uplifts queer and trans resistance\, joy\, and dreams for liberation in Florida\, the Southeast\, and beyond. \nCan’t Stop Change is not yet rated. It contains brief nudity (non-sexual) and occasional adult language. It also contains hurricane footage and discussions of colonialism\, white supremacy\, and anti-LGBTQ+ violence that may be distressing to some viewers. The film will be screened with subtitles. Yarrow holds a Master of Education in Environmental Education from Florida Atlantic University and specializes in education that centers equity\, justice\, queer ecologies\, and multispecies liberation. Alongside their work as a full-time bookseller at Charis Books and More\, Yarrow is the Co-Director and Impact Campaign Coordinator for the Queers 4 Climate Justice documentary Can’t Stop Change: Queer Climate Stories from the Florida Frontlines.
