Book lovers will be spoiled for choice this week.
On September 17, Karen Abbott will speak about Liar, Temptress, Soldier, Spy, a non-fiction narrative about four women — two Yanks and two Confederates — who were actively part of the Civil War effort.
On September 18, there will be two lectures: Salmon Rushdie on his new tale, Two Years Eight Months and Twenty-Eight Nights, and Wil Haygood on his untraditional biography, Showdown: Thurgood Marshall and the Supreme Court Nomination That Changed America.
