Galleries on Marietta Square in Marietta will hold their first Virtual Art Walk at 5 p.m. Friday, April 3. Viewers can take part via this link ( as well as on Facebook and Instagram. Participants include dk Gallery, The Loft, Muse & Co. Fine Art, North Park Gallery and RobertKent Galleries. Collectively, they represent more than 200 artists and a range of media. The tour will stay online through April 30. The May Art Walk is scheduled for May 1.


Synchronicity Theatre will hold an hourlong virtual happy hour at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, April 9, with an online play-reading session led by managing director Celise Kalke and fellow artists. They’ll dip into work by great women playwrights, including Lorraine Hansbury and Sarah Ruhl, among many others. The evening will include a discussion about contemporary and classic works. Excerpts will be sent ahead of time, but no preparation is needed and leaving your house is not required. Sign-up is free, but you are asked to register in advance. A Zoom link will be sent on happy hour eve.

Sandler Hudson Gallery is offering video segments that detail the entire Lloyd Benjamin exhibition Auto Abstracts and SculpturesThe videos, which have no sound, can be accessed HERE (scroll down a bit). Benjamin, who’s in his early 40s, is a native of Little Rock, Arkansas, who lives and works in Atlanta. He’s a self-taught artist who paints, sculpts, makes prints and takes photographs.
